How counselors can help:

  • Social/Emotional Counseling: conflict resolution, making tough decisions, friendships and relationships, dealing with grief, bullying, anger management, problem-solving.
  • Academic Counseling: What classes should I take? What can I do to improve my grades? How can I be a better test-taker? need help getting organized and managing my time.
  • Career Counseling:What should I do with my life after high school? How do I apply for college? How can I pay for college? Goal-setting.
  • ANY problem you may need assistance with. If we can't help, we will find out who can. We are here to SUPPORT you in any way we can and to help you to succeed!

 

 

How can you see your counselor?

  • Come down with a pass from your teacher or stop by between classes, before or after school, or during lunch. If we are not available, leave a note and we'll be sure to see you as soon as we can.
  • E-mail us if you're uncomfortable with just stopping in or have an issue over the weekend and want to talk first thing Monday morning.

5. School Counselors will make decisions based on the highest moral principles to promote the maximum development of every student.

Counseling is the heart of education today. School Counselors are change agents, advocating for services that promote the development of healthy, self-confident students who will become our future leaders. A School Counselor is a certified, specially trained, caring person who understands students. They are a professional educator who helps all students, serves as a resource person and a consultant.
