Dr. McDuffie, originally from Currie, NC (Pender County), began serving New Hanover County Schools in 2004.  She is a graduate of Pender High School, Burgaw, NC. Dr. McDuffie spent 9 years in the Career and Technical Education Department as a business teacher at Eugene Ashley High School, Wilmington, NC where she established the Gospel Choir and the National Technical Honor Society.  She completed her last year at Ashley High School as Dean of Students and Administrative Intern.  Dr. McDuffie also served D C Virgo Preparatory Academy, Wilmington, NC as Dean of Students prior to joining Northside High School in 2015, as Assistant Principal.

Dr. McDuffie has one son named Kendric and a grandson named Carter Alexander. Dr. McDuffie and her family lives in Wilmington, NC. Outside of school-related duties, Dr. McDuffie enjoys spending time with her family.
